Emotional Alfredo Morelos reveals Rangers pride and dedicates goals to fans after awards treble

Alfredo Morelos has scored 29 goals in all competitions this season and is determined to add more when he returns from suspension.

Morelos is dreaming of becoming the first Rangers player to score 30 in a season since Kris Boyd.

The 22-year-old has got three games left to do that against Hibs, Celtic and Kilmarnock. But before then he's named his favourites from the 29 goal haul that sees him top the Scottish Premiership charts.

It comes after he took home a treble of awards at the club's player of the year dinner on Sunday. He was named Player of the Year, Player's Player of the Year and top goalscorer.

Rangers skipper James Tavernier responds to Motherwell incident with Twitter pun

And speaking about the goals he told RangersTV: "It's really big for me to get this prize on this beautiful night. I'm very happy it has been a good season for me and continuing to do things right and finish strong with the games that are left which are very important to me.

"I have three games left and I'm going to play them as best as I can.

"It's very emotional for me. Scoring for Rangers is something incredible for me. I have a lot of adrenaline for scoring goals and I offer them to the fans, who deserve it. It's an awesome adrenaline. All these people and Rangers deserve it and all my goals are for them.

"I have two that were really important. All of them are important to me really, but my favourites are a back heel flick here at home then one I scored in Aberdeen which was also a brilliant goal.

Alfredo Morelos scoops Rangers Player of the Year hat-trick

"They are goals that that are super important for my career and I'm very happy with the season I've had with Rangers.

"I'd like to thank all my team-mates, the technical team, for all the opportunities they've given mean yeah, I'm really happy to be here."

Morelos ' favourite strikes came against Hearts and Aberdeen. The first came in a 3-1 win over the Jambos at Ibrox when Daniel Candeias capitalised on a mistake from Demi Mitchell to set up the Colombian to flick home.

The second came in a night that Morelos was the biggest talking point. He had essentially won the game for Rangers with a great performance and his second goal was a thing of beauty as he curled into the bottom corner on his left foot.

He later saw red for lashing out at Scott McKenna in the 4-2 win at Pittodrie.
