Television’s biggest night has been and gone, with some stars dazzling fans with high-fashion hits, while others are stirring up debate with riskier choices.
From Jake Gyllenhaal to Sydney Sweeney, some of Hollywood’s biggest names walked the red carpet at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. And while most of them turned heads for the right reasons, others opted for slightly more risqué looks.
For instance, fans had mixed reactions to Wednesday star Jenna Ortega’s bejeweled top that left little to the imagination.
Meanwhile, previous Emmy winner Jennifer Coolidge’s all-black look made it difficult to tell where the gown ended and she began.
Here are some of the most questionable looks from the 2025 Emmy Awards:
Michelle Williams

Sarah Paulson

Kristen Bell
Bell sported a similar look to that of her ‘Nobody Wants This’ co-star, Justine Lupe, featuring a gown with cheap-looking sequins. But adding insult to injury was the criss-cross black top with cut-outs that did not match the rest of the gown (Getty)
Kaitlyn Dever

Uzo Aduba

Jennifer Coolidge
Coolidge is no stranger to a black dress while walking red carpets, but this one missed the mark. Her strapless gown had a puffy top that lacked shape and originality. Paired with long black gloves and a black handbag, it was difficult to tell where the dress ended and Coolidge began (Getty)
Chase Sui Wonders

Shannon Murphy

Zuri Hall
