Tributes have poured in for Derry model Emmette Dillon after family and friends shared the news that he passed away.
The 33-year-old was last seen leaving his apartment at 12.15am in the Crawford Square area of Derry on September 3.
Hundreds have shared their support for Emmette’s family and friends with many posting touching tributes to the “beautiful, kind soul” and “wonderful human”.
Jay Butler expressed how is "heart is broken".
"You brought so much light to my life. From the moment we met I knew you would take my heart. You are beautiful and there will never be anyone like you. Never.
"You messaged to tell me you loved me before you left. And I never got to reply. I’m so sorry. I love you. I always have and I always will.
"I hope you know that. Nothing will ever change that. I’m so sorry that things have ended like this. And I hope you know that I always cared about you. You’ve had hard times. And your soul has been restless. I hope you are at peace with your mummy now. I will miss you more than you can imagine.
"Be at peace you poor beautiful loving wonderful human. I love you. Goodnight moon," he added.
Others added how Emmette was also the "sweetest human" and "such a kind wee person".
Back in 2015, the 33-year-old encouraged people to check for signs of cancer as part of a campaign as he lost his mother to the illness when she was only 45.
And in 2018, he vowed to bring Northern Ireland's "mental health epidemic" to the world stage after being selected to take part in a global beauty pageant.
