Emmerdale villain Meena Jutla will not die in 'epic' exit

Emmerdale villain Meena Jutla will not be killed off when the character finally exits the soap.

As Emmerdale fans know, Meena, who is played by Paige Sandhu, has bumped off many village regulars in the last year. She is currently standing trial for her crimes and acting star Paige’s time on the soap is coming to an end.

Many might have thought the villain would be killed off as part of a dramatic final act for Meena but that appears not to be the case. In an interview with Inside Soap, Paige revealed Meena will not die.

Discussing her impending Emmerdale exit, Paige said: “Meena’s story had to come to an end because if she carried on there’d be on one left in the village. I thought she’d have to die because it’s just the most epic thing but what they’ve come up with is better.”

Paige has discussed her time in Emmerdale and some of her highlights. Firstly, she said she’ll greatly miss co-star Rebecca Sarker and also cited last year’s Super Soap Week as one of her highlights from her time on the soap.

Paige explained: “Definitely survival week. I remember me and Rebecca went to watch the screening together and we were just clinging on to each other the whole time. We were so proud of ourselves and everyone else. All the other actors and crew. For me, that was probably the top one.”
