Emmerdale viewers to see major change at show's legendary pub The Woolpack

Emmerdale viewers are set to see a major change at The Woolpack as threats still remain over the legendary boozer’s future.

As Emmerdale fans know, Al Chapman, played by Michael Wildman, has recently invested in the Woolpack - joining cousins Marlon and Charity Dingle overseeing it.

The investment from a new source was needed after the venue suffered financial difficulties during the coronavirus pandemic.

It appears he has big plans for the pub which don’t all seem well-intentioned.

Tonight, he will make the recommendation that the venue starts serving ready-meals rather than fresh food - as part of a series of cutbacks.

Unsurprisingly, this does not go down well with chef Marlon Dingle who prides himself on what comes out of the kitchen.

Elsewhere, Emmerdale fans are still trying to figure out who Al's mystery business partner is.

A few weeks ago, Al was seen on the phone to a mystery contact, celebrating the fact that he'd successfully manipulated the Dingles.

After boasting to his accomplice that he'd secured a rock bottom price, Al promised: "We're going to make a killing."
