Emmerdale viewers spot huge blunder in Marlon Dingle's court appearance

Emmerdale fans spotted a huge blunder in the show tonight as Marlon Dingle appeared in court.

Marlon is charged with Graham's murder and appeared in front of a judge on tonight's episode.

Before his appearance Marlon spoke to his daughter April and promised her that he would be coming home.

But tonight saw him be refused bail by the judge, who said he would face a trial in June.

Marlon broke down in the dock and shouted he was innocent, but the judge continued to clarify more details about his trial.

And that's when fans noticed a huge error.

The judge told Marlon he would face a trial beginning on "The sixth of June" and would be remanded in prison until then.

But viewers were quick to notice a problem with the date - the fact that it's a Saturday and a murder trial wouldn't start until the Monday.

Francesca Pidge said: "Judge mucked up there, 6th June is a Saturday."

Marc Johnson said: "Monday 6th June 2020? Not sure what planet they’re on in #Emmerdale but here on Earth the 6th June is a Saturday."

Natasha Louise said: "June 6 is a Saturday."

And John Collins said: "The scriptwriter must have been on the sauce when typing this episode together! Come on #Emmerdale when does #CourtCases start on a Saturday & #Emmerdale doesn’t air on a Saturday either!"

*Emmerdale continues at 7pm on ITV on Monday
