Emmerdale viewers get saucy surprise when they work out sleazy message's meaning

Emmerdale viewers get saucy surprise tonight when Kyle Dingle read out a sleazy message intended for Aaron.

The schoolboy was using his cousin's tablet, despite fears about another "porridge incident", when a naughty message popped up on the screen.

Reading the message aloud, a confused Kyle said: "Should hook up again soon. Winky face purple vegetable."

Liv Flaherty quickly rushed over to take the tablet away from Kyle's innocent eyes - claiming it was "grown up stuff".

Viewers at home got more than they bargained for when they searched for the meaning behind the 'purple vegetable' emoji.

Emmerdale fans took to Twitter after discovering what the message sent to Aaron actually meant.

One viewer said: "Googled the purple veg emoji, wish I hadn't. I thought it was an aubergine!!!"

"Omg I'm crying winky face purple vegetable," added another.

A third said: "Kyle read that text like I do. I recall not that long ago having no idea what a certain purple vegetable meant."

"Good idea taking that tablet away from him," said a fourth.

Aaron has been matching up with lads on hot new dating site 'Man Crave' (ITV)

After seeing the tablet, Liv realised that Aaron was looking for men to sleep with on an online hook-up site.

She was concerned when she realised that her brother had not slept in his bed the night before.

Worried Liv told Victoria Sugden that Aaron was seeing someone and had ditched her to "meet some lad".

Later on, Victoria and Liv's concerns grew when they saw an unknown car parked outside the house.

When they got inside they found Aaron having a fight on the floor with one of his hook-ups who had stolen his wallet.

Liv said she was worried he was dead in a ditch, but furious Aaron slammed his sister for going through his private messages.

He nastily lashed out at the pair, telling Liv she was "weird" and calling Victoria a "victim".
