Emmerdale viewers concerned over Paddy's future

Emmerdale viewers are concerned Paddy is beginning to spiral into a deep depression.

A few weeks ago Paddy finally realised his long-term partner, Chas, was cheating on him and planned to run away to start a new life. Once the news of the affair came to light, he kicked her to the curb and promised they were done forever.

While he hasn't budged on his anger towards Chas, the rest of the village appears to be easing up on the situation so much so she was invited to a large, family get-together.

Realising everyone is starting to get on with their lives despite him still harbouring resentment, Paddy is unsure what to do with his emotions as he is still deeply hurt by the situation.

Marlon, his best friend, tried to comfort him in tonight's episode but was barely met with a response. Viewers picked up on Paddy's gloomy demeanour before sharing concerns he may be spiralling into a depression.

One viewer said: "I reckon #Paddy is gonna sink further into the depression he’s already suffering from." Another added: "Paddy sparks further concern."

Whilst a third viewer said: "Paddy feels like he’s been pushed out now all the Dingles have forgiven Chas."

Paddy later joined Vinny on a walk to "clear his head" where he admitted it "hasn't been easy" to forgive Chas especially as her family appear to be supporting her again. He revealed he doesn't know what to do with his feelings because he doesn't know who to turn to.
