Emmerdale viewers baffled over Sam Dingle scene as he makes odd discovery in village

Emmerdale viewers were left a little confused during Tuesday's episode, as Sam Dingle recovered an interesting item that had been abandoned.

The character hoped he would get some money out of the odd find, revealing all to Billy Fletcher.

Billy is minding the scrapyard for Aaron Dingle while he's away in Scotland.

He bumped into Sam on his way there, who was walking along while carrying a radiator.

Sam had big plans for the item, hoping it would be made of material he could sell for cash.

He said to Billy: "I found this dumped in a field, I couldn't let it go to waste."

Explaining he'd found it dumped in the village somewhere, Sam then told Billy how to work out whether the metal was worth something or just scrap.

If Billy's magnet stuck to the radiator it was cheap metal, he stated, but if it didn't it could get him some good money.

Unfortunately for Sam, it wasn't of any use to him and was on its way to the yard.

But viewers were a little more distracted by the scenes, and Sam's discovery.

Viewers took to Twitter confused why a radiator had been randomly abandoned in the village, and how he came to find it.

One fan was even quite keen to find out who the original owner of the radiator was, as viewers shared their confusion.

One viewer said: "Amazing what you can find out in the Yorkshire Dales, a radiator!"

Another tweeted: "Okay Come on, own up! Who in the village threw out a radiator in a fit of rage!"

Others were more confused over Billy being given a job at Aaron's yard, given their history and past feud.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
