Emmerdale viewers baffled by Chas’ change of heart as she defends innocent Liv

Emmerdale viewers were left confused as Chas defended Liv after cutting all ties with her in Wednesday night's episode of the long running ITV soap.

Chas previously decided to cut Liv out of her life after she was wrongly accused of murdering Ben Tucker.

Serial killer Meena Jutla was responsible for the crime, but has managed to avoid any suspicion.

In a harsh outburst, Chas told Liv not to bother the Dingles any more and made it clear that she was on her own.

She even went on to blame her for Aaron leaving the Emmerdale village.

However in tonight’s episode it looks like Chas has a change of heart and defends Liv after Al offered to give Chas money for Liv's lawyer in an attempt to have her on board with his plans on knocking down the Woolpack.

Al has recently revealed his plan to turn the iconic Woolpack pub into luxury apartments and it’s safe to say Chas wasn’t happy about his plans.

The scheming businessman assembled the village to present to them and it didn’t seem to go his way.

Chas is facing financial issues as she assured Liv on the phone that they were hiring pricey lawyers to get her out of jail. "We're bringing you home, love," she promised.

Al overheard the conversation, so he used Chas's worries to try and persuade and apply pressure on her to sell him the family's remaining shares in the Woolpack.

He told her: "You need cash and I have it, and the alternative is a fight that I don't think you can win. Or even have the stomach for.

"There is money waiting in an account, and all it takes is a click and it goes into yours and Marlon's.

"Let's not pretend that it isn't very, very generous because it is. You have a problem and I have the solution."

Chas was far from impressed and snapped at Al for pretending to care about Liv which left viewers baffled at Chas’s change of heart towards Liv after lashing out at her last week.

@suzysasha Tweeted: "#Emmerdale I must've missed something. When did Chaz start being nice to Liv and wanting to help her?”

While @RyanGTweetsTV wrote: “But Chas wasn't you the one who dismissed Liv last week when you called her a murderer? #Emmerdale.”

@itzzzo_ wrote: “Chas saying not to dismiss Liv erm wasn’t that what she was doing last week?! #Emmerdale.”

And @delucaevans questioned: “So I guess Chas is firmly team liv again then #Emmerdale.”
