Vanessa Woodfield finally explained the reason behind her odd behaviour to girlfriend Charity Dingle on Emmerdale this evening.
Charity, played by Emma Atkins, had been left incredibly worried about Vanessa, fearing that she had gone off her as she continued to dodge her calls.
As a result, Charity ended up kissing stranger Mackenzie after the pair literally crashed into one another on the road.
But when she returned home, Charity received a video call from Vanessa.
"You've been acting really weird," Charity pointed out.
Vanessa went on to apologise and revealed that she had an appointment with the doctor.
"Sorry, I haven't been dealing with this very well," Vanessa said. "I had an appointment with the doctors this morning." As Charity fretted, she quickly added: "No it's ok, it's good news Charity. It came back all clear! No evidence of cancer."
Vanessa added: "For now, it's gone. We can finally get our lives back."
"Babe, I'm so happy," Charity said, but was clearly feeling guilty about her slip-up.
Charity will come clean about her snog with Mackenzie, leading Vanessa to end things with her and leave their relationship in tatters.
Will the pair be able to reconcile in the future? Or is that it for Vanity?
