Emmerdale under fire after April bully's hideout is discovered

Emmerdale was under fire after Cathy Hope's hideout was discovered in tonight's episode.

The character played by Gabrielle Downing confessed to being April's bully in Wednesday's edition of the long-running soap.

April decided to keep the information to herself but she was forced to tell Rhona in the latest edition of the show after Cathy went missing.

April refused to forgive Cathy for what she had started and this led her to runaway from home.

Rhona went searching for the character who has caused April so much misery over the past few months - and she eventually found Cathy hiding in the Cricket Pavilion.

However, Brenda Hope refused to criticise her daughter's behaviour, which prompted Rhona to push her in anger.

But viewers on Twitter were distracted by this scene and all made the same point about how every runaway in Emmerdale always heads to the same place.

@misskarensault said: "Is there anywhere else to hideout in #Emmerdale other than the cricket pavilion?"

@News4Emmerdale commented: "Everyone hides there. Why does no one check there first?"

@penniless_poet posted: "Oh shocker - Cathy is hiding out at the cricket pavilion - where every bleeding runaway hides out!!!!"

John M added: "First rule in #Emmerdale - if someone goes missing, look in the cricket pavilion."

JamieNews81 said: "First time in ages that somebody has been found at the cricket pavilion."

@Pilch1972 added: "Why does everyone hide out in the cricket pavilion…. And nobody thinks to look there."

Emmerdale airs at 7pm on weekdays on ITV and ITV Hub
