Emmerdale trio tipped for the axe in huge ITV soap storyline

Three Emmerdale stars are being tipped for explosive exits from the ITV soap.

Fans have been making their predictions as the latest storylines unfold on screen. Our colleagues at the Express suggest two characters who were involved in DI Mark Malone’s grisly murder might have their days numbered.

The corrupt cop was bumped off last year after he tried to cross Harriet Finch - played Katherine Dow Blyton. In a moment of blind panic, it was Dawn Taylor, portrayed by Olivia Bromley, who pulled the trigger, but Harriet has been carrying the guilt of his death on her shoulders ever since.

Viewers saw the vicar orchestrate the removal of his body, and he was initially dumped in another man’s grave in the churchyard. But when an exhumation was requested by the deceased’s family, Harriet moved Malone in the dead of the night to a barren woodland.

Viewers believe the body of DI Malone will eventually be found which will likely spell bad news for Dawn and Harriet - as well as Will Taylor.

Dean Andrews, who plays Will, has spoken about his involvement in the storyline.

“I personally wouldn't want it to come out – because you know when it comes out, people are going to be leaving,” the actor said speaking to Digital Spy.

“So it can stay buried for me.”

The actor, also known for his role in Life On Mars and sister series Ashes To Ashes, also spoke about a possible reunion between Will and Harriet.

He explained: “I don't honestly know. Sometimes when you talk about your character, you get slightly mixed up between yourself and the character.

“Obviously, I'd love to continue working with Kath, who plays Harriet.

“But is there any way back after you've killed someone, buried them, dug them back up, moved their body? You wouldn't have thought so.

“When there is love at the centre of it all [though], who knows. I think that's why Will has helped along the way. He loves Dawn and Harriet, and he hated Malone.

“Whenever there's a deep love there, you never know.”

Some fans on Twitter believe the three characters will soon be exiting the soap.

Jess Evans said: “I can’t wait for the fireworks for Will, Harriet and Dawn.”

Ian Pearce said: “I think we are going to see Harriet leave soon.”

Katherine Dow Blyton recently addressed rumours she might be leaving Emmerdale.

"You always worry that your days might be numbered," Katherine, who has been in the soap since 2013, said when she was talking to The Sun .

"There have got to be consequences, whether that happens a year down the line or two years down the line, you can’t get away with murder.”
