Emmerdale teases Pete Barton's exit storyline in new Nate Robinson twist

Emmerdale spoilers have hinted at Pete Barton's exit storyline, ahead of the character's departure from the ITV soap.

Actor Anthony Quinlan quit the show late last year after almost six years in the role.

Now, new spoilers have teased newcomer and pal Nate Robinson could be behind his surprise departure.

While an exit date or specific scenes have yet to be confirmed, new teasers hint he will decide to leave the village in the coming weeks.

Cain Dingle's secret son appears to be part of the reason he considers moving on, as well as current on/off flame Tracy Metcalfe.

Pictures show Tracy and Nate a little awkward after Pete sees them together.

But the moment spurs him on to make a decision.

Will he decide to leave the Dales, and how will he head off?

Tracy doesn't seem very keen on whatever it is, while Nate is pretty expressionless.

The character has faced huge loss and heartache in recent years, with just aunt Moira and cousin Matty still in the village.

His dad James was killed by his mum Emma, who went on to murder his brother Finn a year later before she herself was murdered days after.

Pete's brother Ross moved away with girlfriend Rebecca White last year - while his cousin Adam went on the run in 2018 and other cousin Holly died in 2016.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.

Pete confides in Tracy and Nate about what he's decided, and they appear a little stunned.
