Emmerdale starts late as fans fume over delay

Fans of Emmerdale were fuming tonight when the soap didn't appear on their screens at the normal time of 7pm.

Instead, it ran slightly late and finally came on at two minutes past the hour.

But fans weren't happy as they were ready to get their daily drama fix.

Gavin said: "7.02? Where the f is #Emmerdale?"

Ryan said: "Running late again #Emmerdale."

When it finally appeared on our screens, another user said: "Here we go better late than never! #Emmerdale."

There have already been schedule changes to the ITV soap this week due to football being on.

Due to ITV1 screening England’s football match away to San Marino there won’t be an episode of Emmerdale on Monday, November 15 either.

Instead, there will be an hour-long special on Tuesday, November 16. This episode will start at the normal time of 7pm.

*Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
