Emmerdale stars spotted filming at Leeds Industrial Museum in Armley

Visitors to Leeds Industrial Museum in Armley were left speculating as to what could be being filmed at the historic Leeds mill building this afternoon.

Several vans packed onto the road leading off Canal Road to the museum and parts of the museum were closed to the public as filming was taking place.

Filming equipment was propped on the bridge over the Leeds Liverpool Canal as crew members congregated at the entrance to the museum.

One crew member on set explained they were filming an upcoming episode of the ITV soap Emmerdale.

Much of the action looked to focused inside the mill, which has been maintained as an example of how people used to live and work during the height of the textile industry in West Yorkshire.

Many locals were left asking what was being filmed as multiple camera crews could be seen at the venue.

It is not yet clear what storyline that the setting will be used for in the soap.
