Emmerdale stars mistaken for 'cast of Friends' in off-screen outing as fans flood 'strange' Instagram snap

Emmerdale stars whose paths rarely cross on the soap have shown they are good friends in real life with a smiling Instagram snap.

Amy Walsh, who plays new mum Tracy Metcalfe in the ITV soap, took to the social media site to share the image of her dining out with some of her co-stars.

Her on-screen partner Nate Dingle, played by Jurell Carter, was set next to her as was Belle Dingle actress Eden Taylor-Draper.

Also making up the dinner guests was Isabel Hodgins, who portrays Emmerdale's Victoria Sugden, Lawrence Robb, who stars as Mackezine Boyd, and Jamie Tate actor Alexander Lincoln.

The group posed up for the snap during an outing away from the Dales as they hit Leeds and it looked a world away from what they may be used to in the Woolpack.

"Feel very lucky to work with such delightful people," Amy Walsh shared alongside the post. "Don’t get to see them very often anymore so this was special."

Co-stars past and present were quick to comment on the post.

"Cute," Adam Thomas, who starred as Adam Barton in the soap, simply wrote.

Natalie Ann Jamieson, who plays Amy Wyatt, added: "Beautiful people," alongside multiple love heart eye emojis.

"Bloody dreamy," Lawrence himself added.

Eden also shared the snap with her thousands of followers, writing: "Everyone in this picture makes me smile."

But fans were also flooding the post with comments.

"For a second I thought this was the cast of Friends at dinner," one wrote.

Another said: "Looking good gang."

"The best of the best absolutely love emmerdale," a third added.

But one pointed out that it is a bit 'strange'.

"ha. such a strange photo bc as characters, you 6 wouldn't interact much in the show. all leading different character lives. never on screen at the same time," they commented.

Some, however, found it odd for other reasons.

"Yet you and Nate can’t come within six feet of each other on the telly. It’s a giggle," one said.

Another said in defence: "There following the rules so just stop it’s no different to us going out with our friends."
