Emmerdale star Susan Cookson, who plays Wendy Posner on the ITV soap, has teased a major secret hanging over the character.
It's been revealed the character has been hiding something huge ever since she arrived in 2019 - and it could change everything.
Wendy becomes desperate to keep her lie to herself, as it has the potential to make people see her in a very different light.
But her abusive ex-husband Russ threatens this secret coming to light when he heads to the village, furious that his late mother has left all of her money to their grandchild Harry, and not him.
It's not yet known what exactly Wendy is hiding or how Russ is involved, but it could tear her and boyfriend Bob Hope apart.
Whether Russ will threaten to expose this secret also remains to be seen, but actress Susan told The Mirror and other press that his presence will leave Wendy terrified.
Feeling trapped by Russ and his huge demands, Wendy feels she has no one to turn to especially with the mystery secret hanging over her.
Susan told us: "I don’t think there’s anyone she can confide in. She does eventually to Bob but she hopes she can sort it herself and it will all go away.
"She and Bob have a great relationship, she has Harry, she has friends. But because of what Russ knows about her, there is nobody she can talk to.
"She isn’t going to involve Luke but the fear is if she were to tell anyone at this stage, it wouldn’t be good for it."

On the secret she went on: "There's been times where she has told Bob porkies in the past because things have made her worry he might see her as a different person, but this is huge.
"Wendy is genuine and it all comes from a good place but we all have skeletons in our closet.
"She has worked incredibly hard to have a reasonable life but with this, if she tells Bob, her fear is that he will be like, 'you know what, I don't even know you,' and it will be the end of it. She's terrified of losing him."
On Russ and Wendy's past, more will be explored soon but it's clear from Wendy's reaction that he is not someone to be messed with.
Susan said: "He is somebody she has gone to huge lengths to escape and get away from. The first thing she wants to know is how he's tracked her down, which is done through social media.
"She's carved out this life for herself and genuinely cares about Victoria and her grandson. All she can see with Russ is it's gonna throw a spanner in the works.
"She knows what he's like and you naturally wouldn't want someone like that near a young child."
Susan added: "It's a real worry for her cos she knows what he is capable of and what he's like, which is why she went to the lengths she did to get away from him.
"She's completely intimidated by him, that was one of the things in their marriage. She had a nice life carved out for herself, but it came at a price and he held her strings. He was in charge of it all."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
