Emmerdale star teases 'consequences' of crash death as characters will be 'changed'

Emmerdale aired catastrophic scenes as a fireball ripped through a barn on Thursday night, following a truck crash that left three people injured.

A fourth victim was soon shown in hospital too as the result of separate scenes, with all four characters fighting for their lives.

Jimmy King had crashed his truck after losing control of the vehicle at high speed, ploughing it into a barn.

Inside the building was Liv Flaherty and Paul Ashdale, who were having a violent showdown over his lies.

Liv had found out about the gambling, the fake kidnap and the fact he had been beating and abusing his son Vinny for months.

Paul turned violent and attacked her, before they were both injured in the crash and the explosion that followed.

Liv left Paul in the inflamed barn despite his leg injuries meaning he could not move, after everything he had put her and Vinny through.

She obviously was not anticipating the deadly explosion which later killed Paul and left her and Jimmy seriously injured, while both of them and Vinny Dingle continue to fight for their lives in hospital.

With Liv's fate not yet confirmed, actress Isobel Steele who plays her revealed to The Mirror and other press that there would be "consequences" of the big episodes (ITV)

While keeping coy over the details and who survives, she said that the people who lived would be "changed" by the shocking events.

She said: "I think with any sort of stunt like this, it always has its consequences.

"The characters involved in this... well we know someone dies. All of the characters involved and any that have a relationship to that person will be a changed character.

"It is gonna lead to a lot more drama. Theres' a lot more to come."

Viewers will have to watch Friday's episode to find out if anyone else dies, and if the casualties will be okay.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
