Emmerdale star Samantha Giles has spoken out about Bernice's wig during lockdown - and admitted it was a 'disaster'.
Her character plays a hairdresser which meant it was essential she always looked the part, but due to the pandemic she was forced to do her own hair and make-up.
The star appeared on Lorraine this morning and spoke to host Christian Lampard (who is filling in for Lorraine Kelly) about how happy she is to have the hair and makeup team back.

She also went on to explain why she needed a wig that was similar to her real hair in the first place.
“It’s been lovely to be back, it’s been very strange with all the Covid rules and of course thank goodness hair and make-up is back!” Samantha said.
She continued: ‘Bernice is a hairdresser, she’s got to look quaffed and so on so we went for the wig and that had its own set of disasters, didn’t it?
The 50-year-old explained how hard it is to style her hair due to it being “frizzy and thick” which is why she opted for the wig.
Christian joked saying: “It needed its own name - it was a character itself, wasn’t it.”
After the huge amount of fan reactions and memes the actress quickly ditched the wig and hasn’t worn it since July.
