An Emmerdale star has opened up on the prospect of two iconic characters getting back together.
In recent weeks, Emmerdale viewers have seen Nicola and Jimmy King’s marriage hit the rocks. This will culminate with Nicola having a fight with Mandy Dingle in scenes set to air next week.
Nicola Wheeler, who plays Nicola King, told Digital Spy what the future holds for Mr and Mrs King.

She said: "I think there's scope for them to get back together.
"When Jimmy's head turned towards Mandy, he was in a very difficult place at the time. He was going through a lot of emotional turmoil and feeling guilt over the death of Paul.

"I would say sometimes, life can throw a curveball, and that's what is going to happen.
"Maybe it's not about those two anymore – and that's what is going to happen in the future.
"It's not just about their relationship, it's about the kids and what they can do for the kids."
