Emmerdale actor Nick Miles has spoken of an hilarious gaffe he made when he first started playing Jimmy King.
Nick, who has played the popular character for 17 years, is currently involved in a huge storyline which will see at least one character die this week. The action all started when Jimmy loses control of his vehicle and ploughs into farming buildings.

It is not the first time Nick has experienced an issue involving a motor vehicle during his time on Emmerdale. Speaking on ITV’s Lorraine, the actor, revealed an embarrassing incident from when he first joined the soap.
He laughed: “Oh, don’t bring that one up. I actually wrecked Jimmy’s high-powered Monaro when it was the only one in the country of its colour and we had more shooting to do later that week. I was very unpopular with that.”
The star’s character is one of a number who might be killed off in shocking scenes airing on ITV this week.
“I’ve had a great run at 17 years and if this is the end I’ve got nothing to feel sorry for,” Nick explained.
“I think people might be surprised. I think they know it is one of three people by now (who dies) and I’m on the card but they won’t know who yet.”
