One of Emmerdale’s Dingle Clan has discussed the prospect of a new addition to the family.
Karen Blick, who plays Lydia Dingle, spoke to the Express about a new pet for the Dingles.
As Emmerdale viewers likely know, in May 2017, Lydia’s pet parrot Steve died after escaping from his cage and flying out the window into some power lines.

Following her beloved parrot's death, Lydia had the animal stuffed by a taxidermist.
Karen was asked whether she would ever have another pet parrot.
“Steve has a special place in her heart, and I don't think he can be replaced,” she laughed.
“Lydia was going through a particularly challenging time in her life when she found Steve in that pet shop, and I'm hoping that she's moved on now, and found love and fulfilment in a different way but you never know.”
Well, it looks like we won’t be welcoming a new member of the Dingle clan just yet.
