Soap actor Danny Miller reportedly played the hero when he recently stepped in to stop a distressed man from jumping off a bridge.
The Emmerdale star - famed for his role as Aaron Dingle - is said to have approached the male on a motorway in Audenshaw Manchester and talked him down from taking his own life.
Metro report that the man - who 30-year-old Danny helped - was suffering from PTSD as a former member of the army and that after Danny spoke to him about his own mental health battle that he offered the man his number so they could chat.
The outled add that the troubled gentleman was taken to hospital after emergency services arrived with an onlooker telling them that Danny and the man "shared a hug" when the man was away from the edge of the bridge.
"The man was in serious distress and Danny went over and chatted to him. As they talked about their experience there was a clear bond," they told.

The eyewitness added: "The young man eventually stepped back and they shared a hug. They exchanged numbers and Danny told him to contact him whenever he needed him."
Police and ambulance crew on the site are believed to have told heroic Danny that he may have saved the man’s life by intervening and physically pulling him from the edge of the bridge.
The Mirror has contacted a representative for Danny Miller for comment.
It comes after Danny announced the happy news that he is expecting a baby with his childhood sweetheart Steph Jones.

The couple first met at Primary School when Steph moved into Danny's class.
