Emmerdale's Moira Dingle actress Natalie J Robb has confirmed a twist regarding her character's affair with newcomer Nate, behind husband Cain Dingle's back.
Moira and Nate's fling has finally be exposed, with Cain wanting revenge in dramatic scenes.
Events will reach an explosive climax leaving lives on the line, with Nate's mystery identity also set to be exposed.
But now it appears another secret will be revealed to viewers too, and it's something they might not be expecting given it hasn't previously been teased.
Speaking on Lorraine on Tuesday, actress Natalie remained coy over the scenes but promised there was a "deep-rooted reason" behind her character's recent actions.
Suggesting she felt trapped amid her fling with the hunky farmhand, Moira is said to be "self-sabotaging" herself - and is potentially harbouring another secret.
She explained to host Christine Lampard: "She's a little bit trapped, which will be revealed as the week goes on.
"We'll see maybe why, there's a reason. Nobody's an angel."
Natalie continued: "It is risky but that's the thing, I think there's a bit of self-sabotage going on.
"She is doing it literally on her doorstep, and like I say without giving too much away, there will be reasons why she's done it.
"There is deep-rooted reasons why."
The actress also confessed one of the steamy scenes between Nate and Moira in his caravan left her with a slight injury.
She explained: "I actually fractured my little pinky toe, in the caravan doing a love scene.
"It was all the somersaults. I soldiered on, yeah."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
