Emmerdale star Charley Webb urges fans to get checked after ignoring breast pain

Emmerdale star Charley Webb has urged fans to get themselves checked after she put off a hospital trip when she experienced pain in her breast.

The 32-year-old, who plays Debbie Dingle in the ITV soap, said she went to hospital to get checked and was left feeling "really happy" afterwards, the Mirror reports.

Sharing her personal news on Instagram, she urged her fans to get themselves checked if they are suffering from medical issues.

She said she had put it to the back of her mind due to the ongoing pandemic as she was "so worried" about visiting hospital.

She wrote: "I went to the doctor's last week because I've been having this pain in my boob which I know is really personal but I wanted to talk about it because I've been putting it off for ages.

"I put it off because I was so worried about going into them with anything at the moment, with everything going on."

She did not mention the result, but added that "touch wood" everything is ok.

Charley, from Bury, added: "I just hope no one is feeling like that and if there's something that you're worried about then you should go and get it checked because there are other issues going on in the world, not just the pandemic.

"There is other stuff and that's okay. I'm really glad that I did it. The hospital is dead.

"She said they're only seeing people if they really need to. And cause I had to be examined she had to see me."

Mum-of-three Charley is married to her co-star Matthew Wolfenden and is praised for her relatable posts on social media.
