Emmerdale star Charley Webb confesses to strange family Christmas dinner tradition

Emmerdale star Charley Webb has shared her unusual Christmas dinner tradition as she gave fans a look inside her and co-star Matthew Wolfenden's home as they decorate for the festive season.

The actress who plays long-running Emmerdale character Debbie Dingle took to Instagram sharing a sweet video to her 540k followers showing their home before and after decorating it for the holidays.

In the clip they started off by standing in what looks like their dining room as they threw a golden baubles to their bare tree then it all of a sudden before being decorated.

The pair then danced for joy with their three sons to Rocking Around The Christmas Tree.

The 33-year-old star has since told fans that they won't be having a traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings.

And also revealed her strange family tradition that most people may find rather odd.

Instead of your typical Christmas dinner the family Instead opt for a curry, which they do every year.

While doing a O&A with her Instagram followers she was asked: "Will you be cooking Christmas dinner?"

And her response came as a surprise as she replied: "Absolutely not.

"Also we have a curry on Christmas Day. I'm not a fan of turkey and we have a roast every Sunday so it makes sense."

Charley answered fan questions about family life after Matthew, who plays David Metcalfe in the ITV soap Emmerdale, swiped her phone out of her hand during a playful row in their car.

In an Instagram video filmed by Charley in the passenger seat, Matthew asked her: "Are you taking a picture or doing a video?"

And Charley replied: "It’s a video. How boring my life is."

And Matthew complained: "Why are you always videoing me?! Always! You’re obsessed!"

Charley cried: "Because you’ve taken us the wrong way!" "You’re totally obsessed with me," Matthew repeated.

However the pair don't seem to have any bad blood as it seemed to be a little bit of light-hearted banter.

The couple are well known for sharing moments of their lives outside of Emmerdale from TikTok dances, funny videos and adorable selfies with their children.

So without a doubt the actress will share her Christmas curry with her Instagram followers.
