Emmerdale star Amy Walsh shows off stunning short hairstyle

With hairdressers reopened, more and more people are taking advantage of the opportunity to try out a new look- and celebrities are no different.

Emmerdale star Amy Walsh has opted into trying something new, as she revealed her new look on her Instagram story.

The Tracy Metcalfe actress revealed a new shorter style alongside caption "I got the chop", showing her 109k followers her still blonde tresses.

Her new style hits her shoulders, where the blunt chop stops in a stylish lob, or long bob.

Wearing a nude toned hooded jumper and khaki jacket in the smiling snap, Amy shows a dimple.

The actress, who is the younger sister of Girls Aloud's Kimberley Walsh, has held down her role on popular TV soap Emmerdale since 2014 when she joined the cast.

When a storyline was introduced that saw her character, Tracy, experiencing pregnancy the actress turned to her sisters for advice, having never given birth herself.

Amy told morning show host Lorraine that she would be asking for advice on how to do a labour scene, admitting that she enjoys "ugly crying face acting".

Amy said: "It's something I've never done so it will be a challenge acting wise, I do have to research and speak to people and get advice.

"And who knows better than my sisters who both have kids, so I will definitely be tapping them up for advice on how to push!"
