Emmerdale's Amy Walsh and Eastenders actor Toby Alexander-Smith have welcomed their first child over Christmas.
The real-life soap couple confirmed the arrival of their bundle of joy after becoming parents during the festive period.
The 34-year-old actress is a star of the Dales while Toby, 31, is an Albert Square favourite.
The soap stars told OK! : "Well…it’s been a busy week! Hope you all had a good one. HAPPY NEW YEAR from the three of us."
The first snaps of the new family of three show Amy and Toby pushing a pram along while looking lovingly at their new bundle of joy.
The pair are yet to reveal the gender of their newborn but have had ideas for the name for quite some time.
"We have one for each which we were set on before we were even pregnant," the actress said.
She added: "They’re from our lockdown walks when we were talking about our baby names.
"We’ve even called the bump those names, one day the girl name, the next the boy name, but then recently I’ve been like, 'I feel a bit bored of these names [laughs]!' So we’re starting to discuss them again."
Amy, who is the sister of Girls Aloud star Kimberley, said in November that she felt like she was "made" to give birth.
Amy had explained how she thought she might never become a mum after being diagnosed with Polycystic Ovaries when she was 20.
She said: "I always thought falling pregnant was going to be a battle. Toby knew how worried I was, especially as I’m a bit older.
"I did wonder if it would ever happen for me, so it feels like a blessing."
While pregnant, Amy spoke about how she was feeling, she said: "I feel weirdly excited about it.
"I’m sure everyone who’s been through it reading this will laugh but it’s something I’ve always wanted to experience."
She continued: "I’ve always felt I was made to do it. I’m very aware of how scary it could be so I know it won’t be a bed of roses, but what I’m most looking forward to is going through that journey with Toby."
The star went on to add that she and Toby are a "really good team."
She explained: "I know we’ll thrive off whatever is thrown our way. We’re just starting our online antenatal classes. I don’t have a plan. It’s not in my nature to plan and any sort of plan would be setting me up for disappointment."
