Emmerdale spoilers next week: affair scandal, Faith torn over treatment and Leyla threatened

Emmerdale is set for a chaotic week on the Dales as Chas Dingle cheats on her husband amid her mum Faith Dingle’s cancer diagnosis.

Faith’s (Sally Dexter) cancer battle has rocked her family on the Dales and next week they clash as she debates continuing treatment, ITV spoilers have revealed.

Seeking comfort and an escape from the situation, Chas (Lucy Pargeter) turns to Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) and the pair share a shock kiss.

Elsewhere on the ITV soap, Leyla Harding's desperation for drugs leads to her losing a friend as Liam makes a discovery.

Here is everything soap fans can expect on the soap next week…

Chas cheats on Paddy as she kisses Al

Chas struggles to get her head around the fact that Faith has cancer again and doesn't want to carry on with her chemotherapy.

After much heartache, Faith is eventually swayed by Chas into resuming her chemotherapy – but Chas is unaware that this isn’t the decision her mum wanted to make.

Later on at the Woolpack, Chas apologises to Faith for pushing her towards more chemo and Faith’s tough exterior crumbles as the two embrace, finally having cleared the air.

However, Chas is left fuming when Paddy brings home hospice flyers, and she later ends up taking it out on Al when he suggests she’s taken it the wrong way.

Chas softens when Al reassures her that he could be her friend if she lets him and she ends up thanking him for helping her through a tough time.

When she attempts to get Al to open up and the two begin to relax with each other, they end up sharing a moment.

When Chas admits she just wants to forget everything that’s happening, they bond over a bottle of wine and stories of Faith.

Upon leaving, Chas stumbles onto Al and the two share a passionate kiss - but will she end up regretting her actions? Or could their kiss lead to more?

Cain and Chas clash as Faith torn

In prior scenes next week, Chas confronts a stoic Cain (Jeff Hordley) with the news that Faith wants to stop her treatment, and knowing that her brother is the only one their mum will listen to, she implores him to reach out to Faith.

Later on, Cain lashes out at Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) after learning he also knew about Faith’s cancer and ends up throwing him to the ground and then leaves.

It's not long before Cain and Chas are clashing over Faith’s decision to continue with her chemotherapy and Chas feels guilty when Cain calls her out for making Faith’s decision for her.

Leyla arouses suspicion

Drug dealer Jason, played by former Hollyoaks actor Parry Glasspool, makes a return on the soap next week and tries to tempt Leyla with more drugs.

But it’s not just Leyla Jason is targeting as he also tries to boost his sales by getting Jai back on the books.

He ruthlessly blackmails Leyla, urging her to bring Jai back into the fold if she wants to keep receiving regular supplies herself.

When Suzy sees Jason hanging around Take A Vow, she warns him to leave and never come back – but Leyla is furious she's without a drugs supplier once again.

Leyla sees an opportunity and asks Suzy for the contact details of her own former dealer, but she refuses to give them.

Backed into a corner, Leyla then threatens to tell Moira the truth about her involvement in Holly's death unless she does.

Suzy reluctantly agrees, but she's sickened by Leyla's blackmail tactics and declares their friendship over.

In later scenes, Liam worries about Leyla's recent mood swings. But as he comes to a conclusion over what's going on, is he finally on the right track?

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV.
