Emmerdale spoilers have confirmed emotional scenes ahead, as secrets are exposed on the ITV soap.

Faith Dingle's cancer diagnosis is finally revealed to her loved ones, weeks after she was told her illness would shorten her life.

With Wendy Posner and Moira Dingle both told about the illness, Faith finally tells Cain and Chas the truth next week.

Elsewhere, Rhona Goskirk makes a decision about her life after her mother Mary drops a bombshell.

Nicola King faces turmoil after a brutal attack, and she's soon lying about what happened - only for her husband Jimmy to work out the upsetting truth.

Here are all the spoilers for next week in the Dales...

Faith cancer secret revealed

Faith Dingle's cancer diagnosis is finally revealed to her loved ones (ITV)

New ITV spoilers reveal that the truth will come out in upcoming episodes, but not everyone is going to take it well.

The Emmerdale drama begins when Faith's son Cain (Jeff Hordley) returns from from Scotland unexpectedly and discovers Faith (Sally Dexter) in his home.

Faith remains dignified when Cain mistakes her chemotherapy side-effects for a severe hangover, and Moira (Natalie J. Robb) starts to panic as she's the only one who knows the truth.

Later, Faith asks her daughter Chas to make plans for her birthday as she's hopeful it might give her a chance to make peace with Cain.

Whilst Chas and Bear plan Faith’s party at The Woolpack, Faith struggles with the idea of dropping the bombshell on her birthday but is encouraged when Moira suggests she has a plan to ensure that Cain shows up. When he does show up, he's not happy about being tricked.

In a seriously nasty twist, Cain tells his mother that his birthday wish for her is that she’ll drop dead just as she reveals that her cancer is back and that it's incurable.

How will Cain react to such heartbreaking news? And how will he feel when he finds out that Moria knew all along?

Nicola attacked by thugs

Nicola King is savagely attacked on the ITV soap next week (ITV)

Nicola King is savagely attacked on the ITV soap next week by a group of teenagers, soap spoilers have now revealed.

The drama kicks off next week amid the ongoing council rivalry, when Laurel, Nicola and Bernice head out to a bar as a way of getting the two warring sisters to make up.

But the plan goes awry when Nicola heads off early, only to be quickly accosted by a group of teenage girls as she walks to her car.

The attack comes out of nowhere and Nicola is left blindsided when she’s mugged by the savage group and then left beaten, bloodied and unmoving. Will Nicola be able to recover from such devastating injuries?

Mary comes out to Rhona

New spoilers reveal that Rhona Goskirk be left feeling shocked when her mother Mary decides to tell her the truth about her sexuality (ITV)

New spoilers reveal that Rhona Goskirk be left feeling shocked when her mother Mary decides to tell her the truth about her sexuality.

It all starts when Mary acts evasive when a question from Kim evokes some painful emotions.

A weight is lifted when Mary comes out to a supportive Kim and relays the story of her lost love, as Kim encourages her to come out to Rhona.

Mary also bonds with Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) as she shares details of her life and sexuality. Understandably, Mary is feeling nervous about telling a busy Rhona (Zoe Henry) the truth about her sexuality but later that day she tells a stunned Rhona that she’s a lesbian.

As Rhona finds out more about her mum’s revelation, she’s shocked to hear that the woman Mary fell in love with was Mary’s recently-deceased neighbour, Louise.

Her mum coming out leaves Rhona starting to question whether her whole family was based on lies. Of course, this leaves Mary feeling hurt as she worries about Rhona’s reaction and the effect it could have on their relationship.

She's left even more upset when Rhona decides to announce to the room that her mother is gay. Can the pair get past this?
