Meena Jutla will subtly torture injured boyfriend David Metcalfe on Emmerdale next week.
Recent weeks have seen shopkeeper David recover after being shot in the siege by Russ Posner and also turn down a romantic union with true love Victoria Sugden in a bid to provide stability for his family by staying with girlfriend Meena.
Next week, David’s son Jacob Gallagher and his daughter Amber’s mother Priya Sharma are horrified when David collapses after over-exerting himself.
Priya offers to move in with David to help and the next day inadvertently causes anger from Meena Jutla who arrives back from visiting her injured niece in Ibiza.
Meena spots suitcases and a chef’s hat in David’s house and prepares for a nasty encounter with Victoria.
To Meena’s pleasant surprise, she finds Priya instead who has been there to help David.
Later at the Hide, young Carl King Jr. fires a cap gun which leaves David terrified as he flashes back to the siege.
The moment of fear for David prompts Victoria to comfort him in a moving moment.
Just as this occurs, Meena arrives and ruins any hopes of a sweet atmosphere.
Meena goes on to ban Victoria from visiting David again, leaving Victoria unnerved by Meena’s nasty and possessive tone.
Later, as David continues to take powerful painkillers to treat his nasty wounds, nurse Meena offers to take over administering his medication.
Hoping to make David more vulnerable, Meena tries to trigger an anxious reaction when she makes him recall what happened during the siege.
On top of this, Meena also replaces the strong painkillers that David has been given with the much weaker paracetamol in a bid to leave him in pain and further in need of her care.
Now she has David relying on her more than ever, Meena has him right where she wants him.
Will David manage to escape evil Meena’s clutches?
