Emmerdale spoilers: Cain Dingle attacks son Nate Robinson in emotional new clash

Emmerdale recently confirmed Nate Robinson was the secret son of Cain Dingle, with it later revealed Nate's mum is Cain's ex Cara Robinson.

Nate knew Cain was his dad when he arrived in the village in May, and after being told he'd walked out on him as a baby he wanted revenge.

He tracked him down before setting out to ruin his life, trying to get son Kyle taken away from him before starting an affair with his wife Moira.

During a dramatic showdown last week, leading to a boat explosion and a deadly water stunt, Nate finally revealed all to a shocked Cain - before learning Cain didn't even know he existed, but that his mother Faith Dingle knew everything.

In the wake of her exit and Cain's split from Moira, with him not in a good way, Nate wants to make amends.

He shows up at the Dingles' house, where he's confronted by his aunt, Cain's sister, Belle.

She gives him a piece of her mind, disgusted with what he's done now that she too knows the truth.

But she's not expecting him to fall apart, as a weary Nate struggles to control his emotions.

With him realising he was wrong about Cain but still so conflicted, he finds himself seeking advice from Belle who tells him to leave.

He also confesses he wants to get to know his new family, despite the drama with his dad.

Clearly worried about Cain's reaction to him being there, she suggests he leave the village and never come back.

As he goes to leave, Cain returns and is furious to find his secret son there before attacking him.

As he pulls up in his car, he goes over to him and lays him out with a single punch - but can the father and son ever get past the betrayal?

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
