As Emmerdale viewers know, Al Chapman, played by Michael Wildman, has recently invested in the Woolpack - joining cousins Marlon and Charity Dingle overseeing it.
The investment from a new source was needed after the venue suffered financial difficulties during the coronavirus pandemic.
Although, it has been far from smooth since the businessman joined forces with the Dingles.
Al has introduced a series of unpopular measures and soap viewers know he has a plot to convert the village pub into luxury flats.
Things are expected to come to a head over Christmas with spoilers revealing there will be a huge fire at the Woolpack.
It is unknown whether Al is involved in the fire at the Woolie but we can expect major drama and possibly a death of an Emmerdale favourite with rumours suggesting Chas' life could be in danger.
