Emmerdale slammed for being unrealistic after Liv hits rock bottom on tonight's show

Emmerdale fans slammed the show after Liv Flaherty hit rock bottom on tonight's episode.

The Isobel Steele character has been battling alcohol addiction and continued her downward spiral in the latest edition of the long-running soap.

After trying to seduce Jacob Gallagher on yesterday's episode of the ITV show, she is thrown out of the house by her brother Aaron Gallagher.

After trying to make amends with Jacob, David Metcalfe orders her to leave the shop and this tips her over the edge.

Liv steals two large bottles of vodkas and goes to a cemetery to drink them at Leanna's grave.

But Emmerdale fans took to Twitter to criticise the storyline as not being realistic and questioned if the show had forgotten Liv's character had also been diagnosed with epilepsy.

One user said: "Have Emmerdale forgot about Liv's epilepsy wasn't she in serious danger a couple of months back due to her drinking and she is drinking even more since then?"

Another added: "Sorry Emmerdale but if Liv had actually drunk that much she wouldn’t have been sat up like that and speaking as clear as that. Not realistic."

A third said: "I wish they'd remember that Liv has epilepsy & the effects alcohol has on it."

A fourth asked: "Does Liv ever eat??"

Liv ended the first part of tonight's double header having collapsed at the side of a grave and fans feared she may be choking on her own vomit.

Emmerdale continues tomorrow at 7pm on ITV and ITVHub
