Emmerdale Sarah Sugden actress Katie Hill forced to stop filming after testing positive for Covid-19

An Emmerdale star is currently self-isolating after testing positive for coronavirus.

Katie Hill, who has played Sarah Sugden for four years, revealed the news to fans of Emmerdale on Instagram.

Katie, 18, shared the update while doing a question and answer session as she isolates.

Replying to a question from a fan, the acting star said: "I'm good thank you! But have been better haha currently have Covid so having to isolate [face-palm emoji]."

An ITV spokesperson has since told The Sun: "We don't comment on health matters relating to colleagues for privacy reasons.

"Filming at Emmerdale continues with our H&S protocols and measures in place."

The character of Sarah is currently in the middle of a heart transplant storyline after already having battled a rare genetic disease and cancer.
