Emmerdale's Will forces Dawn to prove her loyalty with horrifying request

Dawn Taylor is torn over her father's warped need for revenge against vicar Harriet Finch - something he notices and is determined to make her prove her loyalty.

But how far will she go to show her dad she is loyal to him?

Next week on Emmerdale, Will prepares to take his harassment of Harriet to the next level but Dawn is conflicted.

The vicar has managed to arrange a meeting with social services about Lucas and she finds herself daring to hope for a future with her son once again.

But Will sees Harriet and Dawn together and begins to question which side Dawn is really on.

When he meets her on a country road, she tries to assure him that he can count on her and that she is only using Harriet to get Lucas back.

Will isn't convinced and when she asks him what she can do to prove her loyalty, she is left stunned by his request.

Will Dawn go through with his demand?

Speaking about Dawn's relationship with her father and Harriet, actress Olivia Bromley said: "I think she is torn throughout the whole thing, really. But her loyalty is with her father. She’s held to that while he’s been in prison and held onto this idea of him for such a long time.

"The whole reason that she comes to the village is to get revenge on Harriet, so the whole way through she has had this nagging feeling. But I don’t think she probably expected to connect with Harriet in the way she did.

"Especially there is the issue with her son because Harriet can help her out in that way. Also, Harriet has been so good to her that Dawn has realised, ‘I’m not the one who wants this revenge, it’s my dad’."

Asked whether she thought Harriet could turn against Dawn, Olivia said: "The extent of the deceit is quite far. It coming out would be a bit shattering for Harriet because Dawn has been trying so so hard to build this relationship up to get Lucas back.

"So it could turn really nasty."
