Emmerdale's Will 'confirmed as Kim's killer' in murder arrest - but is it a red herring?

Emmerdale airs a shocking series of events on the ITV soap next week, leading to the apparent demise of Kim Tate.

The soap villain is found lifeless at Home Farm after an incident with Will Taylor, who is arrested for her murder.

As her body is placed into a body bag, her son Jamie Tate is horrified to be told his mother has died.

Amid their plan to trap whoever has been poisoning her, things soon backfire with Kim appearing to pay the ultimate price.

Will's arrest at Home Farm appears to confirm he is the one behind the poisoning, which Kim and Jamie had suspected prior to the apparent death.

But could it all be a red herring of sorts, and is poor Will being framed?

After all it could really have been anyone out to get the villain, from Jai Sharma, to Gabby Thomas and even Dawn Taylor.

Actress Claire King teased viewers would be shocked when they find out who did it, suggesting it's not all that obvious.

So does this mean Will is innocent, and someone else is out there getting away with possible murder?

Claire told The Mirror on whether it would come as a surprise: "Yes, because there are twists and turns in it so I think when it comes out, it doesn't sound as obvious as how I've just told you now.

"I think it will be a shock at the end of it."

On the Succession styled storyline with the different suspects in the frame, Claire confessed she worried it sealed the end of Kim.

She explained: "I thought, 'Oh great, but if there's a succession does that mean I'm going?'."

Kim's fate has yet to be officially confirmed, while episodes will drop early on Monday on ITV Hub before airing on TV.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
