Things are set to take a turn for the worse for Wendy Posner on Emmerdale next week.
New ITV spoilers reveal that the NHS nurse will be left shaken when her ex Russ turns up on her doorstep.
Russ is angry about his mother’s will because she’s left everything to Victoria’s baby Harry, and he demands they talk about it.
Meanwhile, Bob (Tony Audenshaw) is oblivious to what's going on and is looking forward to an evening with Wendy (Susan Cookson) - but she is clearly anxious about Russ.
Viewers will soon discover that Russ is Wendy's abusive ex-husband who has a criminal past, and he's in the Dales to ensure she gets him his inheritance back and is going nowhere until she does.
Feeling bullied and conflicted, Wendy ends up introducing Russ to Victoria as baby Harry’s granddad.
Victoria is a bit surprised by the news but is talked around and it's clear that Wendy has been coerced into accepting Russ’s demands.
Russ claims that he wants to be a part of Victoria and Harry’s life, and a wretched Wendy backs him up.
However, later on Wendy covertly begs Russ to stay away from Victoria, promising she’ll get him the money if he just gives her some time.
Insisting he doesn’t have time, Russ says if he doesn’t receive the cash now, he’ll make sure that she and Vic face the consequences.
Wendy’s feeling guilty as an oblivious Victoria and Bob try to make the best of Russ’ presence in the village.
At the Playground, Russ continues to play the doting granddad whilst laying it on thick about his penury to Victoria.
Will Wendy solve this frightening situation and get the money for Russ? Or will things go from bad to worse?
