Emmerdale's Victoria and Wendy held at gunpoint but viewers spot problem

Emmerdale aired scary scenes tonight as Victoria and Wendy were held at gunpoint by Russ.

Last month, Wendy was stunned as she returned to the village to find her ex-husband waiting for her.

Russ said he wanted the cash that had been left to Harry after his mum cut him out of his will.

At first, Wendy refused to hand over the money, but Russ began threatening her with a 'secret' that could ruin her life.

This week, Russ revealed to Wendy the reason he’s on the run is that he shot a policeman during the armed robbery of a jewellery store.

He hoped the £50k would allow him to evade the police.

Victoria was happy to give Russ the £50,000, believing he needed it to pay off his mortgage.

But tonight, Wendy revealed to Victoria the real reason as to why Russ wanted her cash.

Unfortunately, Russ interrupted their conversation and held a gun at Victoria and Wendy, demanding she transfers the cash.

But fans have a problem with the storyline - believing that it's unlikely you would give £50,000 to someone you've only known a matter of weeks.

Karren wrote: "So Victoria is gonna hand over 50k to someone she doesn't know. It's hard to lend a fiver and get it back these days."

Jordan tweeted: "£50,000 for a person she has never met."

Bradley added: "F****** hell someone give Victoria her brain back. Why would you transfer 50K to some geezer you don't know."

And a fourth said: "Let’s just hand £50k over to a man I hardly know - yeah ok."
