Emmerdale fans are predicting worrying twists ahead for Meena Jutla, as the unpredictable and "psychotic" character, as fans have called her, made a shocking decision this week.
After deliberately leaving a dog to die in a hot car, she later smashed a glass into her hand after learning her sister Manpreet's ex Charles was staying with his current girlfriend Andrea - despite her attempts to split them up.
Meena then opened up to Diane about the tragic loss of a friend, who apparently took her own life after making a mistake.
While she didn't exactly go into detail, she suggested she needed everyone to be with the right person - hence her desperation to get Manpreet and Charles together again.
Meanwhile there's concern for David Metcalfe, after girlfriend Meena behaved in a controlling manner recently even before the issue with the dog.
Her rapidly changing behaviour and controlling nature has sparked concern she may become abusive towards David, with others predicting her to grow psychotic.
Next week, spoilers vaguely confirm that Meena will be left covering her tracks with David, desperate to keep something from him.
It is not yet known what this is referring to but what has she done, or could it be linked to her confession about her past to Diane?
Then there's the fact she almost killed a dog that David helped rescue, but we'll just have to wait and see.
It comes as soap boss Kate Brooks told The Mirror there were gripping scenes to come, with her current actions only the beginning of her new storyline.
Kate said: "From a real and very gripping story, to the wonderful Meena. Meena has rocked up in the village and has manipulated her way into people's affections.
"Now she is loved up with David. This is a woman who will do everything and anything to get what she wants. She won't be tied by anyone who gets in her way.
"This is just the start of a really gripping and enthralling story that will leave viewers on the edge of their seats, and shouting at the television as they struggle to keep up with Meena's impetuous and volatile ways.
"It's a real whirlwind of a story that will hopefully get the nation talking and guessing what is gonna come next."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
