Emmerdale's Tracy Metcalfe made a devastating decision in the latest episode of the ITV soap, amid the character's ongoing postnatal depression battle.
The character made an exit from the village on Monday night, declaring she would never be returning after saying her goodbyes to baby daughter Frankie and partner Nate Robinson.
While Nate has noticed the odd change in her behaviour recently, he has no idea the struggles Tracy has been facing for weeks.
Tracy began avoiding her baby daughter recently, fearing she would harm her - making up excuses so that she wasn't around her.
But on Monday it all became too much for her as her PND left her with unsettling thoughts about her and her baby girl.

Tracy was shown trying to block out voices in her head in one heartbreaking moment, as she didn't think she was good enough to be Frankie's mother.
But one distressing scene showed her stood at the top of a bridge, looking over with her baby in her arms.
It appeared she was having dark thoughts, with actress Amy Walsh recently confirming Tracy would contemplate whether her family would be better off if she wasn't there, and Frankie too.

Thankfully Tracy returned home, but it soon emerged she was planning on fleeing as Nate returned from work.
She told him she was heading to Priya's for the night and would most likely stay over, while viewers knew this was not the case.
As she approached a taxi driver in the village, she made it clear she would not be heading home again and was leaving for good.
The driver asked about booking her a return journey after she didn't give a location of where she was going, to which she replied: "No, no need to. I'm not coming back ."
The episode ended, with viewers racing to Twitter to share their upset over the scenes and Tracy's turmoil.
Will Tracy be found and will she return home to get the help she desperately needs?

The actress recently spoke to The Mirror about the fallout of the scenes, and what it will mean for Tracy and Nate's future.
Amy revealed that Nate would "step up" to support her and care for their baby daughter Frankie, as Tracy gets the help she desperately needs.
She said: "I don't know, it's a funny one because she would have to admit that she had those thoughts about potentially not being here, and taking Frankie with her.
"It's a massive moment for her. She doesn't say it to him but he hears it, and she is so full of shame when she knows that he knows that.
"But he's still fighting for them, he steps up. He is a great dad and a great partner, it is good to see that support but it is hard."
Emmerdale airs every night at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
