Emmerdale's Samantha Giles rid co-star's home of 'evil' poltergeist

Emmerdale’s Samantha Giles was on hand to help her on-screen sister get rid of an evil spirit.

The actress, who plays Bernice Blackstock in the ITV soap, practices Wicca witchcraft in real-life, and she used her ghost-busting abilities to rid Nicola Wheeler’s home from the ghastly ghoul.

Samantha, 49, immediately came to Nicola’s aid when the actress, best known for playing Nicola King on the show, complained of feeling an eerie presence.

Sensing a “stale energy” when she entered the Yorkshire property, and felt a creepy atmosphere in one of the bedrooms.

"Nicola said to me, 'Go upstairs and tell me what you think isn't right'. I immediately went into Jude's room and said, 'I don't like the feeling in here'," Samantha said during an appearance on the Soap From The Box podcast.

“I went to the door and I said, 'There's something here, I don't like it. It's some sort of stale energy, it's going through the wall,’” she said.

Samantha sent the ghost packing into the adjoining house, but it’s owned by Emmerdale director Lee Salisbury, who then began to feel a ghostly presence.

"Me and Nicola live next door to each other and some bad stuff has gone into my bathroom that left her house. We've got loads of leaks in our bathroom at the moment!” he revealed.

Samantha then advised Lee to get rid of the ghoul by using sage, and the leaks have now mysteriously stopped.

The actress said she can sense evil spirits when out and about, and believes they serve as a warning.

"I can sometimes walk past someone in the street and I get this fizzy, electrical feeling and I think, 'I can't go near that person'. It's almost like a warning. It's feeling the energy of something or someone,” she shared.
