Emmerdale's Rebecca Sarker exit 'sealed' as Manpreet struggles with Meena guilt

Emmerdale actress Rebecca Sarker could be set to leave the ITV soap judging by Thursday night's episode.

The latest instalment saw Rebecca's character Manpreet Sharma confide in Charles Anderson about resuming normal life now that everyone knows her sister is a murderer.

Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) is currently on the run after confessing all to her older sibling Manpreet, and holding her and Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) hostage in the barn.

Manpreet is still laid up in hospital and her former partner Charles has been visiting her regularly.

During one of their chats, Manpreet said: "Even with Meena behind bars, everything's gonna be different from now on isn't it?"

"I can't stop going over everything I must have missed, hating myself for ever letting her move in with me."

Charles replied: "I know how traumatic this is has been for you but it will get easier, once you get back home..."

"Charles, I don't think it's even right for me to be there...." she then told him as he looked confused and responded: "What are you talking about?"

"People will always associate me with what she did and I can't blame them," Manpreet added.

"Manpreet, people know you and care about you..." Charles pleaded with her.

"People died because I let her into their lives," Manpreet replied, before adding: "Maybe I should find a GP vacancy elsewhere and get out of the way for good..."

Charles tried to convince her to change her mind and told Manpreet she is a victim just as much as anyone else.

One person posted: "Don’t leave manpreet #Emmerdale," while another said: "You cannot blame yourself for Meena's crimes Manpreet. It's not your fault #Emmerdale."

A third viewer added: "You didn’t do anything wrong Manpreet #Emmerdale."

And a fourth person joked: "Whatever you do manpreet DO NOT go to Scotland."
