After getting a warning about his dismissive behaviour from David, his dad decides to make things right.
Pollard plans a big romantic gesture for Faith, but on his way to see her in The Woolpack he is knocked down.
As he is taken away in the ambulance, Pollard is still desperate to see Faith, who is unaware of his predicament.
But she is otherwise engaged as Bear moves in for a cheeky kiss with Faith.
She eventually arrives at the hospital with Chas and David, but things turn from bad to worse.
Pollard's condition takes a downward turn and he falls unconscious, leading Faith to scream out in horror.
His terrified loved ones can only watch as the nurses rush to his bedside and he is taken to surgery.
