Emmerdale's Patsy Kensit engaged after romantic beach proposal

Emmerdale actress Patsy Kensit has shared the touching news that she is engaged to her millionaire boyfriend after a romantic beach proposal. The 54-year-old TV star shared a sweet snap of the moment her boyfriend Patric Cassidy go down on one knee.

In the photograph he could be seen down on one knee in the middle of a heart made out of red flower petals on the beach at sunset. He could also be seen kissing Patsy's hand in the heartwarming gesture.

Patsy, who plays Emma Harding in BBC One soap EastEnders, shared the photograph with her 132,000 followers on Instagram. She simply captioned the photo: "I said Yes" alongside four red heart shape emojis, reports Wales Online.

The couple are understood to have been dating since August, according to the Daily Mail. However, the couple have not been pictured together until the engagement post was shared on Patsy's Instagram. Patsy, who has been married four times, went on to share a video flashing her huge diamond engagement ring.

The TV soap star who has also appeared in Holby City as well as Emmerdale and EastEnders once vowed that she would never walk down the aisle again after four failed marriages.

She first walked down the aisle in 1988 when she was 22, marrying Dan Donovan from pop group Big Audio Dynamite but they split in 1991.

She went on to marry Simple Minds frontman Jim Kerr in 1992 but they divorced three years later. In 1997 she married Oasis singer Liam Gallagher, before they split up in 2000. Nine years later, she married DJ Jeremy Healy but they divorced after a year in 2010.
