Emmerdale's Paddy confirms Jamie's death and fans all say the same thing

Emmerdale fans all said the same thing after Paddy confirmed Jamie's death to Dawn on Monday's episode.

Characters in the long-running soap are still dealing with the fallout from Jamie's disappearance last week.

The Alex Lincoln played character was last seen behind the wheel when his car was sinking to the bottom of the lake, after he swerved out of the way to avoid Chas Dingle.

The police cast doubt on whether Jamie would be able to survive the incident in an early scene, but his mum Kim Tate has refused to give up on the hope he was alive and was investigating his whereabouts on the show.

Dawn was still dealing with feelings of guilt after it was her rejecting Jamie which caused him to drive off.

And she was left devastated when Paddy Kirk confirmed that Jamie had died.

He told her: "Dawn, I don't know how to tell you this but Jamie's dead.

"It was an accident yesterday. His car went into a lake. They've dragged her car out but they still haven't found his body."

However, fans took to Twitter to slam Paddy for declaring the news so confidently when it still hasn't been confirmed by the police.

One user said: "Paddy telling dawn Jamie is dead before any confirmation kind of strange."

Another added: "Paddy is silly telling Dawn that Jamie's dead if they haven't found the body! It hasn't been confirmed."

A third commented: "Why tell her he's dead when you don't know that"

A fourth posted; "Jamie's dead you DONT know that Paddy."

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7pm on ITV and ITVHub
