Emmerdale star Michelle Hardwick has revealed she's been victim to vile homophobic abuse.
The actress, who plays Vanessa Woodfield, shared the messages with fans as she dared the troll to reveal their true identity.
The user fired a number of homophobic slurs at Michelle calling her a 'd**e' and a 'l**bo brat.'
The soap star, who is openly gay, wrote alongside the abuse 'Come on, show us who you really are... I dare you!"
Michelle is married to Emmerdale producer Kate Brooks, who previously worked on rival soap Coronation Street.
The pair welcomed their first child together last October, a son named Edward.

Kate also weighed in on the furore as she replied to Michelle's tweet: "Hi ‘Michael’, the original Prisoner Cell Block H called from 1985 - they’d really like their insults back. Thanks a mill."
Hours later Michelle returned to social media to thank fans for their kindness.
"Overwhelmed by all your beautiful supportive messages," she wrote.
"I honestly don't take it to heart, I just like to highlight it every so often.
"Thank you to every single person who took the time to message me whether I know you personally or not. I promise I'll read them all."
Michelle's character Vanessa is currently not appearing in Emmerdale while she is on maternity leave, but the actress revealed she will be returning soon.
During an exchange with Dominic Brunt, who plays Paddy Kirk, Michelle admitted she was struggling to learn her lines 'after time off.'
She also said she was 'having anxiety dreams' about the comeback.

Michelle and wife Kate married in Graceland in 2019 as they chose to elope a year after getting engaged.
They met after Michelle split from her first wife Rosie. Kate was appointed series of producer on Emmerdale and they met on set.
The couple announced their romance in October 2018 on National Coming Out Day.
They welcomed son Edward 'Teddy' Peter Brooks in 2020.

Michelle shared the happy news on her Instagram writing: "On Friday 9th October, this handsome little chap entered the world. Edward “Teddy” Peter Brooks we are so in love with you #ourlittleTeddyboy.”
Soap star friends of the famous couple left their congratulatory messages.
Lisa Riley posted: "“CONGRATULATIONS CONGRATULATIONS CONGRATULATIONS so much love to you all. he’s going to be LOVED."
Catherine Tyldesly wrote: “Oh my darlings!!! So beautiful!!!! Congratulation. While Alan Halsall added: “Sooooo Happy for you both. Congratulations xxxx ”.
