Emmerdale actress Michelle Hardwick has announced she is expecting her first baby with wife Kate Brooks.
The 44-year-old, who plays Vanessa Woodfield in the ITV soap, took to Twitter to share the happy news.
Michelle shared a photo of herself, Kate, and their dog on social media as she cradled her bump.
The couple looked ecstatic as they grinned and posed for the snap.
She wrote: "Fred's big brother duties commence in October #BabyBrooks."
Fans flocked to Twitter to congratulate the pair, with Michelle's former co-star Gaynor Faye gushing: "OMG congratulations - how wonderful!
"You must be over the moonRevolving heartsSparklesxxx."
Actress Michelle wed Emmerdale producer Kate last year in Memphis in a stunning Elvis-inspired ceremony.
Posting a photo of herself and Kate on the steps of Elvis' home, Michelle wrote: "In over 100 degrees heat, on Tuesday 10th September, I became Mrs Brooks. #graceland #chapelinthewoods #memphis #nextstopnashville."
The couple first confirmed their romance on National Coming Out Day last year after sharing a picture together alongside rainbow emojis.
Michelle had captioned the photo: "It will all work out in the end."
The soap star was previously married to music teacher Rosie Nicholl, who she split from in February 2017.
