Emmerdale star Michelle Hardwick has opened up on her romantic proposal to show producer Kate Brooks.
Opening up about the special moment, Hardwick explained that the proposal took place during a fake special screening of The Greatest Showman.
She told Loose Women: “I hired out a small local cinema and I'd said to Kate to keep the date free. I said there was a special screening of The Greatest Showman at the cinema.
"A few of my school friends were there dotted around and I'd hired a flash mob of The Greatest Showman and I did all the, 'I don't know what's going on here.'"
She then stood at the front of the cinema with a microphone, explaining to Brooks: "I just said, 'So, Kate, you're not here to see a film.'"
Hardwick even involved the couple’s dog Fred, who then walked out in front of the camera wearing a jumper with the words, “mummy, please say yes.”
When quizzed on if she was concerned about being shot down, the actress said: “We had spoken about it. She said she didn't take it in until two days later."
Discussing the pair’s upcoming wedding plans, Hardwick revealed: “We're not going to do a big wedding.
“We're just going to go abroad, just the two of us, and then come home and have a big party.”
The pair announced their engagement in a sweet Instagram snap, last year, showing the couple in high-spirts as they sipped on champagne.
